Prescription tracking

No prescription runs out unnoticed. No session goes unbilled.

The framework is strict: 15 sessions per medical prescription, an exchange with the physician to renew it, then a request for cost approval to the insurer's medical officer beyond 30 sessions. A session delivered without a valid prescription is never reimbursed.

What changes on 1 January 2027

A definitive national tariff structure for psychological psychotherapy was submitted on 18 December 2025, planned to take effect on 1 January 2027 (pending Federal Council approval).
The tax point value is still being negotiated with the insurer groups.
Until then, the provisional tariff applies (CHF 2.58 per minute in almost all cantons).
The electronic invoice format changes too: the old XML 4.5 standard disappears on 30 June 2027.
The invoices and templates you built for today's tariff will need to be redone.
